As a great admirer of indigenous religions like Yoruba and its syncreticisms Voodoo, Santeria, Macumba and the like, I have to laugh a bit at these Occidental "occultists" like Crowley, Roselyn Norton, Jack Parsons, Anton Levi and the like.

Their indigenous culture and religions were wiped out by the Romans long ago; along the way they adopted Christianity, which was an anti-Roman social reform movement before it was co-opted and turned into a religion by the Romans themselves; and feeling the need for an authentic religious experience but not doing their research assiduously enough they come up with all this devil summoning "sex magic" stuff.

It's very woo-woo and spooky to the Christian establishment, but doesn't have much to do with actual indigenous religion.

Yeah, I'm more interested in her as an artist and woman who flouted most of the social conventions of the time - pretty ballsy! Especially in 1950/60s conservative Australia.
